Elementary Summer Camp 2024
COME JOIN US FOR THE SUMMER!
Keep your child inspired all summer at Ventana’s Elementary Summer Camp. With engaging week-long themes, campers will immerse themselves in hands-on activities that will boost their creative confidence and stimulate their minds.
This year, we will be running two programs:
One for Kindergarten-2nd graders (these are for students who have completed Grades K through 2)
3rd-5th graders (these are for students who have completed Grades 3 through 5)
*Grade level refers to the grade your child will have completed by Summer 2024, not the grade level your child will be enrolled in during the 2024-2025 school year.
Camps will run from 9 AM to 3 PM (Monday - Friday)
Extended Care will be available from 3 PM- 4:30 PM for summer camp students for an additional cost. Once enrolled in camp, more information about signing up for extended care will be sent.
We will also be partnering with My Green Lunch to provide daily lunches available to purchase. Once enrolled in camp, more information about purchasing lunch online will be sent.
Weekly Themes and Descriptions
Week 1 - Masterchef Junior [June 17,18,20,21]
Prepare your tastebuds! This week will focus on preparing (and sampling) different foods. Get ready to mix, chop, peel, knead, stir, and decorate.
Week 2 - Arts & Crafts [June 24-28]
Let your creativity run wild during this week focused on visual arts & crafts. Be inspired by famous artists as you practice new techniques and develop your unique artistic voice.
No camp the week of July 1, 2024
Week 3 - Game Creation [July 8-12]
Students will work together to invent new physical activity games. During the first four days of this session, students will learn a new game each day and use the foundation of this game to invent new variations to play. By the fifth day, students will work together to create a new game drawing on their favorite elements from the games they already know.
Week 4 - Mad Scientist [July 15-19]
Get your lab coats on! You’ll be bubbling with joy after a science filled week of fun experiments, creative projects, and exciting activities to ignite your curiosity.
Week 5 - Musical Theater [July 22-26]
Calling all actors, singers, dancers, designers, and backstage crew members. This week will be filled with opportunities to perform and work behind the scenes. You’ll explore acting and performing techniques, set design, and stage presence.
Week 6 - Wonderful Water [July 29 - Aug 2]
Splash, scoop, submerge! Let's have some fun in the sun with water play activities! We'll play many outdoor games and use our experiences to help us design new games!
Once a camp package is purchased, you will receive an email from summercamp@ventanaschool.org with a password-protected link to registration forms. Please complete them in a timely manner as directed.
By signing up for Ventana’s Summer Camp, you agree to comply with all Ventana’s rules, regulations and policies. In addition, you understand that NO REFUNDS will be issued for cancellations made on or after May 1, 2024. Cancellations made by April 30, 2024 will receive a full refund.
Covid-19 Protocols
Although we cannot anticipate what the Covid-19 regulations will be in California and Santa Clara County for the summer, the health and safety of our staff and campers are a top priority. We will continue to make decisions accordingly with this in mind and relay additional details as they arise. While campers will be placed in cohorts for the various activities, playtimes will be mixed with all cohorts.
